Happy to announce the opening for a new series of works to be presented next Friday at @moryork Hope to see you there! A New Green World Reception Friday October 24th 6:00-10:00 MorYork 4959 York Blvd. (Right next to @bobbakermarionettes ) My practice spans multiple mediums, but in recent years I have been focused on a series of paintings that use polymer clay to depict floral arrangements. These works are not faithful representations of botanical life; rather, they are cast replicas of decorative molds which create a speculative ecology where mutated, hallucinogenic arrangements exist in a psychic space simultaneously blooming and decaying. Their forms are warped, excessive, and deliberately artificial. These strange bouquets draw inspiration from the decorative arts, baroque ornamentation, 18th century folly gardens, and filigree motifs. The compositions aim to seduce and overwhelm the eye—creating a visual experience that teeters between beauty and excess, realism and illusion.

I’m excited to invite you to Citadel, City of Commerce, a solo exhibition at @elephant_art_space Opening February 11th, 7-10pm. 3325 Division St. Los Angeles, Ca 90065 This project ruminates on the form of a ruinous arch and considers how technology/social media transform the cultural significance of an image or a site over time. In the show the ruins become portals that transport us to to a speculative history that only exists within the imagination. There, we explore the space between a thing and our memory of it- between an idea and its representation. The focus of the work is on a flattening of time through the lenses of media, and the complex relationships between place, memory, and visualization. The show will open Saturday 2/11 and runs through 2/25. Hope to see you there! 🌋
