We would like to officially introduce you to our world, our sweet daughter, Mackenzie Lynn McAfee. Our journey to get to this point was everything but easy. However we wouldn’t change anything if it means we would have this perfect angel baby. Kenzie made her grand debut two weeks early on May 4th at 7:35am. Weighing in at 7lbs exactly, 19.75 inches and a full head of light brown hair. She is healthy, active and what seems to be a very happy baby. We are so incredibly in love, our hearts are full and our lives feel complete. We want to thank everybody whom has taken time to congratulate us, send us well wishes, and has sent flowers/gifts, it is awesome to see all the walks of life that have touched our lives. Special thank you to our family and close friends, for all the support and help. We also want to thank everybody that has been following along and encouraging us with our baby journey for the past three years. We are beyond excited for this next chapter that is parenthood.
Last night we said goodbye to our girl, Valerie Ann.
14 years was never going to be enough time with you. You fought harder than anyone could have expected. Beating cancer four times, and even when it came back again, you still showed us what strength, resilience, and love looked like. You faced every challenge with bravery, from shar pei fever to losing your hearing, and even in your hardest moments, you remained the sweetest, most gentle soul.
You didn’t just change our lives, you changed so many others. Because of you, we were inspired to start a Fur The Brand foundation that has helped hundreds of families through their own canine cancer battles and get more time with their beloved dogs. That is your legacy. That is your impact.
Valerie passed peacefully at home, in our arms, surrounded by love and some chocolate treats, exactly where she belonged.
You were truly one of a kind, so intelligent, so strong, and so deeply loved.
Thank you for everything you gave us. We will carry you with us forever.

Our family grew by four paws. We are so excited to share that we’ve adopted a sweet pup. Everybody meet Bluey McAfee🐶 he’s the best boy! And is fitting in perfectly with his sisters and brothers!
Choosing adoption was important to us — there are so many amazing animals waiting for a second chance, and we’re grateful we found our perfect match. From the first wag of the tail to the first cuddles in his new home, we knew this one was meant to be part of our family.
If you’ve ever considered adopting, fostering, or supporting your local shelters, this is your sign. There are so many incredible dogs out there ready to love and be loved. 🐾❤️ Thank you @hamiltonhumane for helping us, everybody was so nice, helpful and educational.
The path that led us here was filled with needles, hormones, countless appointments, and more emotion than we ever knew two hearts could hold. IVF pushed my body to its limits and stretched our spirits in ways we never expected. It was hope and heartbreak, faith and fear — all tangled together as we trusted science and prayed for another miracle.
And now, with humbled hearts and overwhelming gratitude, we are overjoyed to share that we are expecting a baby boy, arriving June 2026. 💙
To every woman and couple still in the thick of this journey: you are not alone. I hope our news doesn’t cause you pain, but instead offers a spark of hope. Hope that your story isn’t over. Hope that the impossible can become possible.
