Feb 2022. This was the first car I properly painted. All done over at @type2detectives near Cambridge.
The VW Baja bug is still one of my favourite vehicles Iāve painted for sure, I mean the car itself is a beaut!
Cool that this thing is fully electric⦠perfect for pissing of petrol heads š

So many ciggys over the years!
Pretty sure the first cig painting was done soon after I moved to Bristol 11 yrs ago **correction if was a print I made with my dad back in 2014**. Since then theyāve crept back in to my work every so often. Something so fun about painting them. Theyāre not easy to do but very satisfying.
Been some big projects revolving around the cig. The big sculpture with @movi_808 the purely ciggy show with @mooseyart and a big capsule collection with @route_one countless prints an a bunch of originals.
Could it be time for some fresh cig pieces?
Remember kids⦠smoking not good for you but itās kinda cool š
Mural Spotlight
Hereās the forth in a series of posts where Iām going back and focus on some murals that Iām really proud of.
#4 Obonjan, Croatia 2016
So I was invited out to the tiny island of Obonjan back in 2016 by the lads at @unit44gallery
They were working with some guys who had set up a wellness retreat on the island. I canāt remember what my objective was for this trip but I remember them walking me around pointing at things I could paint. This house obviously caught my attention!
At the time I was painting these loose freestyles pieces (looking back on them Iām not sure if I like them or not) but combined with the sick building I think I got away with it š

#2 Too the moon, Bristol 2017/2023
So⦠I first painted this building for Chris at @tothemoonbristol back in 2017, but then repainted it in 2023.
I learnt a very imported thing from painting this building⦠donāt skimp on your materials! When I first painted this wall we did it on a tight budget. This meant wilko emulsion and loop spray paint. After about a 3years of it being battered by direct sunlight it had almost turned totally white!
So we decided to get the scaff back up and redo it using better, more durable materials. 3yrs on an it still looks as vibrant as the day I painted it⦠thank god!
Lesson learnt š
Love tho piece and Iām lucky enough to live right round the corner from it. Weird to say, but I enjoy seeing this piece regularly. Also itās an excuse to pop in and have a pint. Such great boozer with brilliant unreal cocktails!
