As a devoted former New Yorker I can honestly say—there’s nothing more fun than coming home to host the most kick-ass party of the season. #50MostPowerfulPeopleinMedia
Honored to host Vice President @algore and hundreds of the industry’s top environmental advocates at THR’s Sustainability Summit on Thursday. The packed event at the @hotelbelair , held in partnership with the Sustainable Entertainment Alliance, also honored ABC’s Gray’s Anatomy, Hulu’s Paradise and Netflix’s TheDuffers for promoting sustainability onscreen and behind the scenes.
In Philly this weekend for #HistoryTalks26 the incredible centennial celebration produced by the History Channel and ComcastUniversal. The intimate, off-record gathering brought out every single ex-president and Michele Obama, Hilary Clinton and Jill Biden. Plus: Tom Brady, Tina Fey, Jason Kelce, Nicole Kidman, Colin Jost, Ted Danson, Jay Shetty and Hoda Kotb. But a personal highlight was reuniting with the legendary @depaulolisa , my old friend and editorial co-collaborator—the perfect date for such an inspiring event.
Over the years @itsmattdickinson and I have spent countless hours devouring every agonizing moment of The Comeback, the cultish comedy that’s finally returning to HBO this month after a prolonged hiatus. So there were few people I was more excited to meet than the legendary @lisakudrow , who graces the latest cover of THR.
Last January I traveled to Rikers Island to see Harvey Weinstein for his first in-depth interview since his arrest. My story appeared in @hollywoodreporter ’s Oscar issue this week, sparking international headlines and some controversy.
I knew Harvey 25 years ago, at the apex of his career, when he ruled Hollywood and palled around with presidents and bullied people with impunity. In the years since his dizzying fall from grace I couldn’t help but wonder if the experience had changed him. Was he contrite for his crimes? Had he apologized to his victims? How did he assess his ruined legacy? And what did he do to pass the time while locked in a cell 23 hours a day?
After interrogating him for an hour, I came away with answers to all these things. Seven years in prison may change a man, but character is destiny. Tap link in my bio to read the story.
Kicking off Oscar weekend with ace curator @eksnels (center) and some of the LA art stars who contributed to @hollywoodreporter ’s dazzling “Art of Oscar” portfolio. Catch the show until March 21 at Megan Mulroney Gallery.
