My rule of thumb when doing street photography during daylight hours is: F8, shutter speed minimum 1/500 and ISO Auto. I push the shutter speed to 1/1,000 and higher in bright conditions. Settings will change depending on what look you’re wanting e.g. Motion Blur.
Why auto ISO? Convenience.
When visiting a new city there is so much to see. It takes less time to compose a shot, in addition to not holding up the group I’m travelling with.

Every Day Carry: Leica Q3 43.
Most of my professional work is Interior Architecture and Sports Photography. Having introduced this camera into my professional and personal work, the most surprising part is how versatile it is.
The Q3 isn’t known as a Sports Photography camera; but I’ve used it on every shoot as my second camera with incredible results. I use it handheld for my Interior Architecture, quickly capturing angles and details without needing a tripod.
It’s also a Street Photography beast. I’m glad I went with the 43mm over the 28mm as I find 28mm too wide for my taste. You can’t go wrong with either though.
