Summer deserves a special shout-out today.
I’m so proud of her. For anyone that doesn’t know, shes (another) ‘foster failure’ for the household. We have had her 3(ish) months now. I swear I didn’t plan on bonding this hard 😅
We just got her DNA results back: 50.1% Dutch Shepherd, 25.7% Belgian Malinois, and 24.2% German Shepherd. It totally checks out, because about a quarter of the time she’s clearly negotiating with a little Malinois devil on her shoulder.
Having a dog like Summer has meant so much to me. I love the challenge of training her and building that partnership. It’s incredible what she can already do. We put her to the test today at the Tampa Convention Center and she earned compliment after compliment.
Of course, she’s also a world-class snuggler. She and Onyx have formed an alliance and now oversee the less ‘cerebral’ members of the pack. We adore this girl. She is extraordinary.
Had the best day at @cabotcitrusfarms playing golf with my beautiful Viking Princess Fiancé. This place was amazing and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you for the best birthday present ever babe ❤️
