Last night, I had the honor of hosting an Iftar at my home for our @mpvusa community in @mpvlachapter and friends. The evening began with a Mecca-style maghrib prayer led by me, followed by a heartfelt doa for those struggling with hunger, oppression, and violence, and concluded with delicious food and meaningful conversations.

Religious freedom for some is religious freedom for none. That’s why a multifaith coalition, including Muslims for Progressive Values, the @intrfthalliance , @hindusforhumanrights , and the @sikhamericans , supported by @democracyforward and @americansunited , sued the Trump administration over its biased and unlawful “Religious Liberty Commission”. Together with our friends in faith we are demanding that the government follow the law and respect the full diversity of belief in this country.  Read the full press release at the🔗 in our bio
