What happens with a ‘click’? In today’s post-internet age, most things are only a click away. But what actually happens—what constitutes a click? Where and how does a click travel? How does a click shape our relationship with the world? Legendary artist Lee Ufan recently joined a public conversation with M+ Artistic Director and Chief Curator Doryun Chong at M+. A prominent figure of avant-garde movement Mono-ha, Lee explores the dynamic relationship between objects, viewers, and surrounding space. His practice resonates with the millennium-old East Asian ‘shanshui’ tradition, translated as ‘mountain’ and ‘water’ and referring to the landscape painting style. Lee expressed that shanshui will endure because we continually seek connection with our surroundings even in our post-industrial and ever-increasingly virtual world. Lee’s site-specific installation, ‘Relatum – The Mirror Road’ (2021/2024), is now on view at ‘Shanshui: Echoes and Signals’ in the South Galleries. 傳奇藝術家李禹煥最近來臨M+，與M+藝術總監及總策展人鄭道鍊展開對談。 作為當代前衛運動「物派」（Mono-ha）的代表人物，李禹煥一直透過作品探索物件、觀者與周遭環境之間互相影響的關係。 他的創作與承襲千年歷史的東亞「山水」傳統互相呼應。李禹煥認為，山水之所以能夠歷久常新，是因為在後工業、日趨虛擬的世界中，我們始終會追尋人與環境的各種聯繫。 李禹煥的場域特定作品《關係項──鏡之道》（2021／2024年）現正於南展廳展出。 #MPlusMuseum #MPlus博物館 #Shanshui #山鳴水應 #LeeUfan

🎶 Step into the world of Ryuichi Sakamoto (@skmtgram ). ‘Ryuichi Sakamoto | seeing sound, hearing time’ celebrates the legacy of the pioneering composer, producer, and artist. Featuring the large-scale site-specific installation ‘async–immersion’ (2023), the exhibition pairs stunning visual compositions by artist Shiro Takatani with tracks from Sakamoto’s personal album ‘async’ in surround sound. The exhibition features presentations of moving image works by the artist’s creative collaborators, including Nam June Paik’s ‘All Star Video’ (1984) and Carsten Nicolai’s ‘ENDO EXO’ (2024) and ‘PHOSPHENES’ (2024). Poems are played randomly in their original language; enjoy the sounds and rhythms of the words or simply dial again to hear another poem. Did you know ‘Dial-a-Poem’ was initiated in 1969 by American poet John Giorno (1936–2019) to bring poetry into everyday life? Writers, artists, and musicians were invited to share their work through a telephone hotline. Fast forward to today, the project has evolved globally, with versions in France, Mexico, Brazil, and now Hong Kong, showcasing the power of words in multiple languages. Can’t visit us?
