“where the knots collect” will be available to listen to on bandcamp 8/22 (and other platforms later i’m bad at timing)
this album is about how quickly something earned can dissolve, and how easy it is to appear unfrayed. working on these songs had been simultaneously heartbreaking and uplifting.
for now, i’ve released the polished and demo versions of two songs from the album, “papercranes” and “rainsounds,” as a little ep. me erik and robin started the recording process for these back in early 2024 and i love hearing the big and little differences between the old and new.
thank you to tony (@incognoodles )from set the tone records (@sttrecords ) for hitting it out of the park again with the masters
thanks to john mckenna (@the_polychromatics )and kelly servick ( @pocketmoonmusic )for donating their time and talent to two of the tracks
thank u robin, erik, and dom for believing in all this and sticking around and putting up with me
ok that’s enough of that go listen to the bandcamp thing n come to the show on 8/21 loveyou

rodney robb was more than “the owner of the acting school i went to as a kid.”he was like a grandfather to me. with his wife, my manager, edie, by his side, the two of them created a beautiful, and delightfully chaotic pairing of talent and talent management. i’ll always be thankful of the times i had on saturdays on 3rd and vine, and the countless memories outside of those walls. his passing leaves a hole in my heart, and reminds me to cherish the people who have believed in me along the way. may his memory be a blessing <3
“rodney’s the best, he’s the king of the center, we’ll miss stage combat, but mostly you”
