It’s time for #threegamethursday and this week Im choosing three games I am hoping to play for the first time this #bankholidayweekend (and also the three games that were in my last order from the fabulous @gamescrusade )

- ‘Lairs’ comes from @kidstablebg who’s games I tend to enjoy and this one’s had a lot of hype! I play a lot of two player games so it’s going to get table time and all first impressions are indicating it’s a keeper!
- I have also had my eye on ‘Soothsayers’ from a while from
@playtozgames which is pitched as a mystical engine builder game. One of my favourite genres and I only hear good things
- Given that my wedding is now under 4 weeks away the theme of ‘Uninvited Guests at a Wedding’ really appealed. A big player count deduction and bluffing game all about trying to sneak in and stay at a wedding from @mozaicgames

day 1 brought everyone in. day 2 made them stay.
somewhere in between, ideas turned into conversations, and conversations turned into actual builds.
designers, illustrators, playtesters, publishers, makers not just showing up, but working things out together.
fixing mechanics, rethinking rules, improving as they went.
nothing finished, but a lot moved forward.
and that’s what mattered.
we’re really glad we could host this and be part of it.

day 2 and we’re still thinking about it 🔥
what started as a small gathering turned into a full room of people building, testing, and figuring things out together. designers, illustrators, playtesters, publishers, makers all in one space.
prototypes across tables, conversations around mechanics, small tweaks turning into better gameplay. once playtesting began, things got more focused — what works, what doesn’t, what needs rethinking.
nothing finished, nothing perfect. just ideas being worked on in real time, with honest feedback and quick iterations.
people connecting over games still in progress. notes being made mid-session. small changes that made a big difference.
we’re really glad we could host this and see it come together the way it did.

Day 1 of gamx just wrapped and honestly the room said everything.
designers, illustrators, playtesters, publishers all in one space at yutori spaces. people who've been building in isolation finally finding each other. prototypes got torn apart. rules got rewritten. strangers became collaborators by noon.
India's tabletop scene has been growing quietly for a while. today it had a room.
