Behind the seams!! We needed some costumes to go with the dance portion for
@theettes Not At All video so of course I partnered up with my dear friend
@moxiegrey ! We’ve been working together for over a decade on many projects but this one was extra special because it was ours! Our main goal was movement and sparkle. For my piece, I wanted a ‘70s Cher/Tina Turner aesthetic so started with a Norma Kamali bodysuit as a base and build off of that (you can never have enough sequins and rhinestones. K?). Leslie’s concoction of 4 different types of fringe (including silk fabric she cut into strips) was genius and made the skirts movement to be fluid and light and sparkle just right. For Coco’s, we wanted a 60s Rockette vibe so we did several layers of black chainette fringe topped with gunmetal rhinestone fringe in an art deco cut for the skirt and epaulettes! Added lots of rhinestones and Coco added lots of leg! Couldn’t have done it all without
