2026.03.12 We are honoured to have been part of the M+ “Lee Bul: From 1998 to Now”, producing in-gallery video content for the show together with the M+ teams, a journey from Seoul to Hong Kong.
In-gallery videos can serve many different purposes. They can spark visitors’ curiosity, or provide a deeper understanding of the exhibition through behind-the-scenes, artist’s and curator’s own voices. Sometimes a video needs to be bold and loud. Other times, it quietly sits alongside the artworks.
The real challenge is how naturally it fits within the exhibition space because at the end of the day, it is not the main character. But when done well, it adds another layer to the experience, drawing audiences closer to the works without ever getting in the way.
Thank you for trusting us.

My Question about Home is… | Epilogue
Since 2023, WMA has centered around the biennial theme of "Home," launching a series of exhibitions, events, and video series. Through interviews with people from various sectors of society, we have expanded and accumulated our understanding, imagination, and questions about home from multiple perspectives, including food, shelter, transportation, academic research, technology, and family relationships.
As the final exhibition in the "Home" series, "No Such Person," comes to a close, this biennial theme also reaches its conclusion. Two years are not enough to summarise the meaning of home, but as one of our interviewees said, "What matters the most is how you ask this question." In this concluding video, we hope to collect more questions from the public about home. We will examine these questions and consolidate the explorations and discoveries from the past two years, then compile them into a book.
Here, we once again deeply thank all the interviewees for sharing their sincere stories and insights, as well as the production team for their dedication and efforts, for joining us on this journey filled with warmth and depth.
Last but not least, your question about home is……

For fifteen years and counting, Asia Art Archive has enabled open access to the recent histories of contemporary art in Asia by digitising archival materials. While one may think of digitisation largely as a virtual process, an enormous amount of physical labour is involved from start to finish. Watch the full seven-minute video now to trace our journey from Hong Kong to Jakarta, then New Delhi, and Taipei.

Thank you for being with us this year. Throughout 2024, we have completed many excellent projects together. We have produced numerous artist videos and exhibition documentaries, interviewing local and overseas artists, designers, curators, poets, musicians, archivists, and creative practitioners from various fields to tell their stories in different cities. This year, we expanded our production to include animated content and gallery multimedia display.
I am honored that we have welcomed new teammate from the film industry and emerging animation artist to our studio. We’ve been fortunate to meet talented young creators and a teammate who brings fresh perspectives from her comparative literature studies.
I believe in the Japanese concept of “一期一會” (ichigo ichie) - that each encounter is unique and meaningful. It’s no coincidence that we all met, from our clients to collaborators, and of course, our dedicated in-house team.
“Moving Image” was the first studio name that came to my mind - it’s not just a term that defines our position, but reflects our mission to produce videos and images that truly move people.
As we step into 2025, we look forward to creating more meaningful stories with you all. Wishing everyone a creative and prosperous New Year!

My Question about Home is… | Eric Yip, Poet

“For those who are scattered, can home only be found in the realm of illusion?”
Eric Yip, the youngest winner of the National Poetry Competition in the UK, began an undying relationship with words from childhood. He later attended Cambridge University in England to study economics and wrote poetry as a means of self-comfort and as a source of emotion to his life as an immigrant.
In Yip’s view, the essence of poetry has to do with the compression of language and transcending it out of the mundane. His poems detail the myriad of inner conflicts that stem from outgrowing one’s house, more specifically the struggles of adjustment to a new culture and the traumas of forgetting one’s first language. These opposing feelings help him appreciate the gift of writing poetry that he has and serves as a creative outlet of sorts allowing readers to see the world in entirely different light.

My Question about Home is… | Jan Curious, Musician
R.O.O.T (Running Out Of Time) @root_band

‘What exactly constitutes a home?’
Jan Curious, a music creator, thinks that the ultimate question of life has to do with home. As a child, home was a destination he conjured up in his mind whenever he had a stomachache; as he grew up, he defined home as being with people you love. But what does it mean to have a home when he thinks of his future in old age, once everyone has died?
Jan Curious’s creations reflect his observations and thoughts on home. Starting from the emotionally intimate feelings while being in his work with Chochukmo, to the more externally focused humanity in R.O.O.T. (Running Out Of Time), these artworks are the reflection of the cultural environment and society which they are rooted in. For him, the greatest challenge has become how to extract motivation from the household within a specific period and how to repay that household through his works.
