What is MoveSpace? Last members night, we decided to try and answer the question we get all the time, What is MoveSpace? What better way we thought than to ask the people a part of it.
We’re so blessed to serve such a range of creators, storytellers, community builders & artists from filmmakers, social entrepreneurs, activists, poets, comedians, + more.
Our Creators Club membership whilst limited & open via expression of interest is open to all, working on a project that fits our kaupapa of creating a more beautiful world, ultimately if it’s making art + moving people you’re in. It starts from $25/month, and you join our online community, our monthly social gatherings, discounts to all of our rooms, and more than anything a bunch of what feel like now, life-long friends, collaborators, business partners, & the community I know I’ve always longed for, and feel SO blessed to even in moments I take it for granted.

Last weekend I celebrated the launch of my debut book 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙥𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙧𝙮!
and everything about the event was co-created with community.
Whether it was friends helping with setup, fellow poets jumping on the open mic, Sabreen performing, roaming photographer friends, or a talented baker friend who runs her own small business.
It was so cool to celebrate my book, alongside community, on the @movespace_ Rooftop!
My best friend reminded me on the day that this event has been in my dreams for the past 3 years. Everything about the night was intentionally designed and crafted to feel warm, authentic and fun.
I wanted people to feel valued on the night, and I am so proud that ticket sales generated enough to:
- pay for a local indie musician
- buy a custom cake from a small female business owner
- decorate and hire out a community space
- ensure setup crew was fed a delicious dinner
To anyone who is currently figuring out what’s next for them or looking up at their next dream and wondering how will I achieve this, my big encouragement is to build with intention, have a vision, and don’t compromise on your personal values. Trust me, it’s worth it!
