This Friday, Mo van der Does (@movanderdoes ) will present his REFLEX assignment, together with his seven-piece Motet.

Midsommar, the first single of our live at Bimhuis album is out now on @doxamsterdam and available on all platforms! This song is inspired by the 2019 Ari Aster movie. I tried to capture the feeling and atmosphere of this film where beauty, serenity and mystery co-exist next to haunting and gruesome cruelties. On the sixth terrace gluttonous souls are purged of living with too much emphasis on food, drink, and bodily comforts. In a scene reminiscent of the punishment of Tantalus, they are starved in the presence of trees whose fruit is forever out of reach.

Tomorrow 20:45 we will play with the Motet at the new Orange Jaz Days festival in @tivolivredenburg ! A great line up of Dutch based bands will fill the stages of Tivoli this weekend.
