I made a little photo book that I've been sitting on for a while now. Like trees, this project has grown gently over time.
It's a story about the relationship between humans and the natural world, utility infrastructure and trees. Both are vast networks, intertwined yet unable to communicate.
I am grateful to @adamswiftlucas / @specific___ideas for designing and publishing the book, and to @mouseinatrap for the beautiful essay you will find inside.
Edition of 200 printed by @conveyorstudio . Visit my website and navigate to "books/prints" (link in bio) to order your copy. Books will ship in May.
Regretfully, this is available for shipment to addresses in the US only.
a happy byproduct of this time off is falling into rabbit holes so deep you can’t get back out. after getting my mind blown in an intro to quantum mechanics online class, i wanted to figure out a way to express some of its complex concepts using basic animation. six months and a shit ton drafts later, this nugget (& a few others) finally come to life 🙃💥⚡️
one year ago i left nyc to explore & experiment, and what a time it’s been 🌟 some highlights: a deepened care for friends old & new, the thrill of being in asia as it rises to a new age, saying no more than I say yes, the luxurious joy of spending 100 hours on one thing—and the pain of spending another 100 hours on it so it’s not a turd, and a fuck ton of soda. #BOOYAH
