A wonderful evening last week celebrating the re-opening of our historic Bluestone Stables at Mount William Station. We would like to sincerely thank everyone who came out to celebrate this exciting milestone with us. It was incredibly special to share the evening surrounded by industry friends, collaborators, local businesses, and our wider community. The reopening marks the completion of a major upgrade made possible through a government grant, allowing us to introduce integrated heating and cooling along with floor-to-ceiling glass doors throughout the dining hall space. The result is a beautiful indoor-outdoor venue experience that can now be enjoyed comfortably year-round. This upgrade has greatly expanded the versatility of the Bluestone Stables, opening the space up to a wide range of events — from weddings, anniversary celebrations, and holiday parties to company retreats, wellness weekends, yoga retreats, long-table dining experiences, and more. As Mount William Station continues to grow, we are incredibly proud to further evolve the property while preserving the heritage and character that make the space so unique. A heartfelt thank you to: @byplush_ @bytilda.weddings @yellowhouseflowerfarm @smithandarcher @purevibeeventhire @grampians.living @settinggrace @tablearteventhire @theeventquarter_ Thank you all for your creativity, support, and contribution in making the night such a success.

The Next Chapter | Part 2 On October 17th, 1919, Robert Barr Smith purchased over 20,000 acres of Mount William Station from William Phillip, who had held the property for only a short time. Tragically, just a year later in 1920, a fire destroyed part of the original Homestead. While much of the original 1870s bluestone structure still remains today, the present Homestead and gardens are largely the result of Eda Barr Smith’s vision and dedication throughout the 1920s. Eda rebuilt and remodelled the home in a 1920s Art Deco style, complete with a terracotta roof, landscaped gardens, and the iconic Spanish-arched façade that remains a defining feature of the property today. Three full-time gardeners were employed to maintain the grounds. During Robert and Eda’s ownership, Mount William Station underwent major improvements. Around 2,000 acres were ploughed and cleared of dead timber, dramatically increasing the carrying capacity of the land, while English grasses and clovers were planted across the property. After retiring, Robert Barr Smith passed the station to his son, Robert Mitchell (R.M.) Barr Smith, in the 1960s. R.M. Barr Smith became a pioneer of the Charolais breed in Australia. Inspired by the breed during a trip to Mexico, he was among the first cattle breeders to import Charolais semen into Australia. Within eight years, he had established a pure Charolais herd, and today Mount William remains one of the leading Charolais studs in the country. 1st photo (Eda & Robert | sons: Richard & Robert) #mountwilliamstation #heritage #barrsmithfamily #luxuryfarmstay #victoria #4thgenerationfamilyowned

There was a beautiful calm to Meg and Jordan’s wedding morning. The kind of quiet anticipation that comes when two people know they’re exactly where they’re meant to be. From the very start of the day, they were relaxed, present, and completely ready to marry one another. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the morning unfolded with an ease that set the tone for the entire celebration — thoughtful, joyful, and deeply meaningful. photographer: @madelaineedmondsphotography floral: @evolve.floral #mountwilliamstation #mountwilliamstationweddings #estatewedding #luxuryfarmstay #victoriaweddings #heritage

Sunrise and sunset at Mount William Station are some of the most quietly special moments on the property. ✨ Early mornings bring soft light across the paddocks, while evenings settle into warm tones over the Grampians. Simple, unhurried, and worth taking a moment for. #mountwilliamstation #nature #luxuryfarmstay #visitvictoria #grampians #sunset #sunrise

Nothing like the beautiful Grampians as the breathtaking backdrop for the Sam’s ceremony. Still cannot get over this day. The (rather heavy) rain only added to the magic. The Armoury- This room was previously used as an office and featured a long-standing desk, with an entire wall fitted with built-in gun safes that stored ammunition, rifles and shotguns used for shooting game on the property. The room also contained a substantial safe where pieces of family jewellery, passed down through generations, were kept. #mountwilliamstation #LuxuryFarmstay #heritage #Established1842 #grampiansaccommodation #Victoria #5starluxuryhotel

This ANZAC Day, we pause to remember and honour all those who served and sacrificed for our freedom. Among them is Robert Smith, Second Lieutenant in the British Army Life Guards and Lieutenant in the Guards Machine Gun Regiment. Robert was the son of Tom Elder Barr Smith and Mary Mitchell. Today, we reflect on the courage, service, and legacy of those who came before us. Their stories remain an important part of our history and a reminder of the sacrifices made for future generations. We extend our deepest gratitude to all servicemen and women, past and present. #mountwilliamstation #historyandheritage #AnzacDay #rememberingtheirservice
