Motion Collabs held its second ever IRL event in collaboration with Boshi’s Place, a coworking spot for indie game developers.
It was an exquisite corpse style animation challenge where each participant had 5 minutes to animate to a random theme suggested by the audience. Once the buzzer went off, they had to switch to the next person’s computer and take over the last person’s project. They could not undo what the last person had done, they could only build upon what was already done. After a few rounds, the entries were stitched together and screened.
Overall, it was a successful and very fun night of animation madness.

Motion Collabs and Mograph Club are teaming together for one special collaboration event as part of SF Design Week.
It will be an IRL exquisite corpse - 5 animators will have 5 minutes to animate their section before the buzzer goes off. They’ll switch to the computer next to theirs and pick off from the last person. Repeat a few times and we’ll stitch together and screen the final results! A random participant will be chosen to win a special prize.
