Spanners has been one of those steady side passion projects that keeps giving back. Nearing 10 episodes in with MARS @m.a.r.s._mi , Typically I try to only focus on Color projects, but this is a start to finish project for me. Planning, shooting, editing, and topped off with color—really making these little films front to back. The look began gritty and expired-film inspired, and it’s grown with every episode. I think I enjoy it now more than ever. I tried pulling my favorite frames and ended up with 262… so here’s a very trimmed-down Top 20. Really looking forward to what’s next—more episodes and some long-form ideas we’re finally starting to chase. Also huge thanks to the whole MARS community for inspiring me to keep this series rolling and @jon_zomer for being the right hand man when putting these mini docs together Series linked above.
