Out today 🕋 @chlaer_ ‘Topography’ EP embraces Mote-Evolver’s tradition of deeper groove Techno with finesse, seeing ‘Altitude’ kick off proceedings as a heads-down slice of hypnotism featuring can’t-miss Techno rhythm while otherworldly creatures add to the atmosphere. ‘Serac’ then delves even further, its effective bassline welded together with subtle sequences before we flip the record around for ‘Lamina’, a track rife with ghostly dub chords and remnants of a vocal sample. 🟣 Planetary Assault Systems - Reassembled - Mote-Evolver – REAS01 🟣 Tras el volumen 5 de la serie ‘Deep Heet’ lanzado el año pasado, el pionero del techno británico Luke Slater, siempre comprometido con un sonido innovador y que invita a la reflexión, se ha unido a reconocidos artistas para rearmar temas del extenso catálogo de Planetary Assault Systems (PAS), así como de lanzamientos recientes. Reassembled presenta contribuciones destacadas de antiguos compañeros del sello Ostgut Ton como Len Faki, el maestro del techno Chlär, el productor favorito de muchos DJs Rene Wise, el referente del techno español Oscar Mulero y el propio Slater. Con bombos contundentes, voces hipnóticas y un sutil toque ácido, el poderoso Len Faki, con base en Berlín, ofrece su reinterpretación de ‘Give It Up’. Por su parte, Chlär reimagina ‘Strange Attractor’ con una mezcla elegante de elementos sonoros inquietantes y vocales hipnóticas. En una segunda versión de ‘Give It Up’, Len Faki aporta una urgencia intensificada que resuena a lo largo de la pista. Le sigue el prolífico Oscar Mulero, que moldea los sonidos atemporales de ‘Surface Noise’. Rene Wise se adentra en territorios más profundos, oscuros y menos lineales con ‘Raid’, un tema de Slater de 2017. Mulero redobla su apuesta con una versión aún más cruda, caótica y experimental de ‘Surface Noise’, enfocada casi exclusivamente en los elementos percusivos del tema original: una elegancia reinventada. Before meeting DJ Funk i was a big fan of his music . the important early house jam chicago beats and cuts were raw , to the point but with groove and playfulness. all got played in sets consistently over the years by me and many many others , such an influence ! Precious memories when i got to hang out with him a few times , an incredible fun and talented guy who’s now going to be missed . I salute you DJ Funk . Your legendary beats will live on for sure . You pioneered that raw force groove, RIP ❤️
