seven years ago this photograph was featured in a wholly disappointing art exhibit. i'm still pretty proud of it, so here it is for you to look at on a tiny screen for a few seconds.
i dropped a hammer to pop the vacuum on an old CRT monitor that @casside.ann gave to me. after hollowing it out i shoved a bright lamp inside. i tested shutter speeds, exposures, and body placement with my digital camera for a couple of hours before taking a handful of shots on film. creating this image entirely alone meant i would activate the 10 second self timer, scramble over to get in position, and just before the shutter went off i used my left hand to spray air freshener from just below the frame to achieve that misty glow.
