A little update on the state of my studio… I’m working hard to get it ready for open studios. I’ve had a major re-hang of my work, a cull of the contents of my plan chests, I’ve made cards from test prints and I am working out some new ideas. Really enjoyed my trip to the London Original Print Fair today. Here are a few which caught my eye. The third image is a woodcut which has 72 layers - mind blowing! In My Mind’s Eye in the beautiful Place Farm Barn at West Horsley Place is open and it looks wonderful! Open 10-5 until Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday. I’m here this afternoon and again on Sunday. Entry is free and there’s lots of lovely things to tempt you.@art_at_inmymindseye #printmaking #exhibition #glass #painting #ceramics

What a mess! Hopefully by the end of the day order will have been restored but there’s a lot to do! I need to finish unpacking from Printfest, do some last minute framing and pack my work ready for delivery to @inmymindseye2026 tomorrow, pack up my etching for the Fen Ditton Print Prize and start sorting the studio ready for Surrey Artists’ Open Studios in June. A week ago I was packing up the car to head to Ulverston for Printfest. I really enjoyed being part of this superb event. It was lovely to catch up with printmaking friends and to meet new ones (I’ll try to tag a few of you, I’m bad at taking pictures of you all!). The Printfest team are fantastic- it’s the only fair I have done where there is so much help with unloading, loading, covering your stand and so much more.I am home now after a wonderful post-Printfest few days exploring the beautiful landscape of the western Lake District. Lots of inspiration for new work. I am very pleased to announce that my etching ‘Casares’ has been shortlisted for the @fendittongallery Contemporary Printmaking Prize 2026 and will be exhibited at the gallery from 23rd May - 14th June.The artists in the exhibition were selected from over 500 entries to the prize and present a compelling showcase of the creativity, technical expertise and ingenuity of contemporary printmakers. All shortlisted works are for sale.
