We got married 9 years ago.. would’ve been earlier but it wasn’t allowed in this country. Before then, since then.. so grateful for all the days. The hard ones, the amazing ones, the boring ones. As time ticks on, I try waking up each day with the simple mantra.. ‘we are alive’.. because so many have left us and each day legitimately is a gift.. and being alive with you is the win I feel so fortunate for. Happy anniversary, I can’t wait to continue being alive with you.
If you were still here, no chance you’d be on social media so it feels absurd you write you a message.. but nonetheless I’m here to say I thought about you yesterday all day. It was a good day, with good thoughts. You did the good things with the short time you had. Every day should be mother’s day for the type of mom you were. Some days I really feel the pain of your absence but then I hold all of what you gave me & your presence is here, always. Giving loving caring empathy kindness. Small in how she navigated the world but endless in how she impacted those who she loved. And her love was vast. Thank you mom.
