First time consciously digging for music with some sort of Indian-ness in mind for @masalamovement ’s club night at @jaki.klub on Saturday, the 18th of April. And it’s incredibly reaffirming to realise how diverse my country of origin is. Whether naturally so or brought on by bouts of colonisation, it’s oozing with sounds from all over the world made by all kinds of people living on all kinds of edges: beaches, mountains, valleys, deserts, ocean, rivers, forests, urban madness, you name it! Basically, I’m quite excited to play everything I want 😂 Playtime 11.30-1ish, party continued by the amazing @pawas_gupta and @cheffe781 ! Please do come by, I think it’ll be lots of fun! Masala Movement on Sat, April 18th at Tom-Tom Discotec - w/ Moonlit Brooks, Pawas, cheffe. And again, we’re very excited to team up with Masala Movement; expect a night filled with all kinds of electronic music spanning from house to deep dubstep - Moonlit Brooks is a poet, performer, and selector. For Tom-Tom Discotec’s Masala Movement night, she will play music by Indian and India-inspired artists whose sounds radiate the bouncy, groovy and organic stories of life on Earth.   Pawas is an Indian-born DJ and electronic music producer based in Berlin. With a classical foundation, particularly training on the tabla and self-taught skills in percussion, bass guitar, and keyboards, he began his DJ career in India at age 17. In 2004, he relocated to Europe, rapidly establishing himself in Germany’s electronic scene.    cheffe is a german-bangladeshi dj, producer & curator proving that south asian music is not only made for bollywood movies. His DJ Sets are often open format & contain a bunch of vocals, samples & instruments rearranged in genres you wouldn’t expect them in.  supported by @landesmusikrat_nrw and @mkw.nrw .

Moonlit Brooks likes being a jack of all trades and master of none. Poetry, music and nature flow equally into her work. Grateful for every cultural promoter keeping open calls alive, she’ll celebrate the soft, funky and tectonic lives of flowers in her selection.

AAMAA is a DJ and artist from Cologne. Her sets blend UK Garage, Hard and Bass House, shaped by a deep love for electronic music, art and pop culture.
 22–23 @e.m.s.e.m.s 
Rooted in the electronic scenes of Halle and Leipzig, e.m.s. draws inspiration from the ’90s and early 2000s. Moving between deep and tech house with a strong focus on vinyl, she’s also part of the duo n:oem and actively involved in Sphere Radio and the moosgrund collective.

LAVIE brings energetic sounds from the global underground to the dancefloor. With playful wordplay, live affirmations and readings from her diary, she creates an interactive journey of music and exchange.
