Picking pictures and videos to summarize what’s gone on in the last 3 years at Duett’s is truly impossible. I have over 2,000 to choose from, and half of them probably aren’t even appropriate to share here. So this is a drop in the bucket of some fun times we’ve had. Duett’s has been so much more than a bar or a job and I still don’t think I’ve really processed that we’re closed. It was the first place that really felt like home to me in Texas. It’s where I met the people I’m now closest with. It gave me the best community I could have asked for. It’s been more fun than anything, and I’ve gotten to work alongside my best friends and see incredible music every week. Above all though, this has been the place and community that gave me the strength and confidence to leave an abusive relationship and do better for my kids and I. They have grown up in this building and had a chance to roam free and be wild and looked after by the best people in the world. We’re all sad to see it go. Thank you to everyone who has made Duett’s what it is. Thank you for giving my kids and I a safe place to be ourselves and grow. I love every single one of you more than words can even describe ❤️ Duett’s forever!
