«« DEADLIGHTS »»
When Lauren asked me to shoot something dark and moody for some photos for her new album, Deadlights, I instantly knew I wanted to take her out to a dark road in Gonzales TX and have her in the headlights of my F-150.
Shot on my Hasselblad 500C using @kodakprofessional T-Max P3200 film, I was inspired by David Lynch’s Lost Highway poster and a Marilyn Monroe shoot that came across my feed a while back.
These are some of the results and I could not be more in love. Thank you Lauren for your trust in the vision.

Out now: @laurenlakis – “Heaven Felt Too High” the second single from her debut album Deadlights is here. With ethereal vocals, melodic guitars, and a heavy low end, the song moves between chaos and clarity — carrying the weight of loss, transformation, and the strange hope that can exist inside both.
Lauren Lakis makes music steeped in darkness, but never without a sense of possibility. “Heaven Felt Too High” opens another door into the world of Deadlights, arriving May 8 on Riding Easy Records.

«« International Women’s Day »»
Honestly, every day is Women’s Day.
Without them we are nothing.
Thank you to the women – past, present, and future – who trust me to capture them on film. The images as timeless as they are.
Celebrate women today, tomorrow, everyday.
