Closing the book on last year, reflecting on some moments and memories: continuing to lay down roots in SF, spending lots of time in the neon and glass studios, navigating major career inflection, communing with daily life, naturing up and down the west coast, saying goodbye to our family dog Blair, leaving the dance floor to go canoeing under the moon, getting a bike, fusing my love for neon and sculpture at Campette, getting our sweat on with Simmerdown, starting nursing school pre-reqs, trying to find balance, mourning the loss of our dear sweet Todd, squeezing friends, looking up at the sky, cherishing the things that feel stable and being patient with the things that don’t.
On to the next 🪂
Corner III 📮 a 2-plane wrap around I prototyped last summer, and bent this winter under the guidance of @neogirlneon . A primary goal of this piece was improving my drops/raises (slide 2) so I could achieve that tight fit and flat surface plane. Eager to expand this idea and eventually dial in a third plane for the full effect 🛑
I’m excited to start sharing a backlog of my neon and installation work from the past year or so, and hopefully some new stuff too ❤️🔥
Windy moment in time captured by @never_arrive featuring my fabric install for our friends at @new.palm .
Small things continue to feel very profound. I’ll leave it at that 🪁
Starting to move into my new art studio. This is a first for me and I’m not attached to any outcomes other than giving myself some space to dive deeper into what has always felt like a fledgeling art practice. Big smooch to all the pals who gas me up, I love you 🥰
Cozy corner collab with @________eugenia from last year. I really enjoy making small vignettes like this… there’s no grand theme, it’s about the moments they facilitate or the mood they instill.
