‘Despite its terminally unlikeable characters and woefully depressing backdrop of Brexit era Britain, you’re unlikely to find a funnier, sexier, or smarter piece of satire.’ – Linda Stupart

For May’s Interjection Calendar, Léon Nirin Bollin has devised a ‘Learning Objective’ to shift our perspectives of first person plurality through the voices of migrant workers.
Léon Nirin Bollin is a writer and organizer based in Brussels, Belgium. His interests lie in using cultural work to build international solidarity and calling out colonial complicity from the Empire’s core.
Guest edited by Christopher Whitfield.

We're proud to announce that Thomas Laprade's artist book, 'Imagining One, I Took the Other' is now available for preorder in the link in our bio. 🔗
Keep your eyes peeled for launch details, for release in May 2026.
You come home to find yourself on TV. A decommissioned Concorde jet takes a job at a T-Mobile store. A princess is propositioned by a cosplayer. A young art historian discovers a gift for zoning out. A New York stockbroker becomes addicted to the pursuit of “good vibes only.” A despondent coffee enthusiast, struggling to navigate the web portal for medically assisted death, decides it might be easier to live.
These are some of the circumstances of Imagining One, I Took the Other—Thomas Laprade’s collection of uncanny modern-day fables, fairy tales, and fan fictions. Accompanied by the artist’s drawings, the book charts the limits of imagination in a world where every choice is overwhelmed by the tantalizing promise, or imperative, of endless growth and possibility.
Thomas Laprade (b. 1991) is an artist, writer, and cultural producer who studied painting at the Rhode Island School of Design. He is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Montez Press Radio.

Join us next Wednesday for an evening of readings marking the launch of ‘Interjection Calendar 011’, published by Montez Press and guest edited by Racheal Crowther. This launch event has been organised on the occasion of her Chisenhale Gallery commission ‘Liquid Trust’.
Spanning critical writing, diaristic texts, and photo essays, the publication takes scent as a departure point to trace how emotion, memory, and behaviour are experienced, governed, and mediated through the circulation of digital images and systems of mass production. The event will feature readings from Racheal Crowther, Eilidh Duffy, Ethan O’Connor, Bishwadhan Rai, and Elida Silvey.

HODLER PRIZE 003 WINNERS Maz Murray and Charlie Markbreiter. We love you guys and your great Jaw Filler. A big thank you to Precious for recommending this one-of-a-kind novel to us « I loved the timeliness of this book and the two authors together making a world not so far from our own, where the digital realm could actually be a form of freedom. It thinks through the rise of anti-trans culture and the internet not only as a place of safety but maybe a new body. It was so fun to read and I love two people writing a book together. So genius.’ Precious Okoyomon @devilintraining_
