Two short residencies will take place during Spaces in Motion. A Chilean visual artist Christian “Mono” Lira and spatial designer Laura Jančiauskaitė will be working at different locations.
> Mono Lira practice focuses on processes of research and observation, exploring the organic intersection between architecture, geographical landscape, and the concept of inhabiting.
The works he creates span across multiple media including painting, sculpture, video, and installation, and are primarily developed using a geometric visual language.
> Laura has a background of interior design, and often works applying traditional willow weaving craft, which she will carry on here as well.
Her practice unfolds through material-led, site-responsive processes, creating structures that emerge from entanglements between body, material, and environment.
In her work she often navigates coexisting within more-than-human ecologies through symbiotic networks and material agency.

Spaces in Motion metu vyks dvi trumpos rezidencijos.
