...Whistler’s mountainscape emerged from the dense fog, an ethereal and mysterious world waiting to be explored. The heavy mist wrapped around me like a cloak, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the already captivating landscape. My left ulna would unknowingly bear witness to the unexpected turn fate had in store. With every descent, the powdery snow swallowed my board, creating an enchanting hush as I carved my way through the depths. Lost in the thrill of the moment, I suddenly realized the ground beneath me had transformed. The misty shroud that had concealed my path had given way to a sheer drop – a hidden cliff concealed within the embrace of the fog. “Mistbound” would forever be etched in my memory as a testament to the unpredictability of nature’s embrace. As I healed and returned to the slopes, the misty shroud would serve as a constant reminder of the delicate balance between exploration and caution...

...We met early at the brewery, the sun hadn't yet risen but we were each nervously excited about the day ahead. Fueled by coffee and our collective desire to inspire growth in our community, we spent the day embracing equity, learning about each other and envisioning the future of the industry we love. The result was a recipe for change. As the brew day came to a close, we were each empowered to break down barriers, and to make space for others. Our adventure started with a collaboration brew, but it is far from over....
Beautiful Inefficiencies: A clean and crisp lager, easy going and ultimately crushable. Made only more sessionable by the addition of fresh lime zest and sea-salt for a twist on a classic style. A collaboration between Annex Ale Project & BORN Brewing Co., made by the women of each brewery in celebration of International Women's Day 2023, this limited release will support the Calgary Women's Center.
The Craft Beer Industry is in a way, beautifully inefficient, we create small batch products which take more time and effort than macro-products. The end result is not only high quality craft beer, but also the creation of a community. Although it may be inefficient, we believe it is beautiful
