Still taking this in…
I’ve been accepted into CCA – an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma (soloist programme) as a Contemporary & Creative Artist at the Danish National Academy of Music (@sdmk.dk )✨
Such a privilege to be able to dive deep into artistic research over the next two years and explore new potentials in the performer/composer duality as a contemporary artist. My project will focus on the flute as an interface for new social, cross-disciplinary, and technological connections.
And don’t worry….I will, of course, continue to prioritise and make time for my other projects and engagements alongside this.
Thank you to everyone who was part of the entrance exams – for listening, challenging, and engaging in the process (@kymakollektiv , @hannah.elisabeth.flute , @johannebuus , @mettehommel )
Can’t wait to get started 💫
Back from Hamburg and a small visit at @hfmt_hamburg with @aeconservatoires , representing the DEI Working Group and exploring new synergies across working groups and platforms. Exchanges like these remind me that cultural policy is shaped through continued dialogue, curiosity, and collective imagination. Looking forward to continue this exciting work💫✨
Sometimes music just resonates with you. It’s hard to put a finger on what it is, you just feel it.
One of those pieces for me is Fanmi Imen by the amazing composer Valerie Coleman (@valerie_coleman_music )
I was lucky to get the chance to play it as part of my master’s final concert - here’s a little glimpse.
This is also a small intention of mine to start sharing more of my playing, even though I still find it a bit frightening.
On the piano: the amazing Anne Mette Stæhr
Visuals by me.
Master of Music (cand. musicae) 🎓
(unofficial — cand.fløjt)
I’ve completed my Master of Music in Flute from the National Academy of Music in Denmark🤸♂️
Here are a few things the degree taught me:
In times of AI, studying an instrument leaves no shortcuts, no cheat codes, just fingers, air, focus, and a body that learns through repetition.
Being able to study music at this level is an extreme privilege. Time to go deep, space to fail properly, and sustained artistic development are not things to take for granted.
This degree isn’t a finish line. It’s a platform for new questions, collaborations, and cross-sector work between art, culture, education, and public engagement.
Huge thanks to everyone who supported me, challenged me, and shaped the process along the way🤍
Looking ahead with curiosity and a strong belief in the role of art in shaping future societies.
