we let what we found there guide us… celebrating and revealing the windows which are all different shapes and sizes, experimenting with a palette that honoured the building, with a sage kitchen and verde Guatemala green stone benchtop from @marmonyx …adding a few cheeky details like this massive spotted gum shelf with a cute double curve by @ellismurray6 and a shiny aqua party curtain for the washing machine beneath by @sandraspasovski , which guided our choice of “little mermaid” 🧜🏽‍♀️ for the splashback paint. reflecting recently that imagination and interesting ideas are emerging from just walking around or daydreaming in sublime places that never look the same no matter when you visit 🌱

the bedrooms received a very gentle touch , new hardwood flooring and skirting and a paint @victorolii 🤍 what is lovely is that the flooring direction is continuous throughout, but the plan is crazy so the bedrooms are gifted a strange angled floor, beautifully executed by @blackwillowgroup … artwork and beautiful image by @traianos

a very simple kitchen renovation that had a few curious challenges in the game of triangles… we salvaged and restored the existing corner cabinetry, made her a mermaid and gave her a lovely new door of fluted glass and spotted gum by @ellismurray6 , underneath the counter we designed a silly little custom triangle wheely bin for both waste and recycling (also made her a mermaid), assembled by @callum.franks , kitchen is ikea carcass with beautiful custom stained plywood fronts by @so_watt_studio , exceptional alignment thanks to @cuppa_joe123 , beautiful green stone is from @marmonyx and @blackwillowgroup were looking over it all and mastering the floors…beautiful image by @traianos

we wanted to create a generous space for prepping food and also hide a laundry in a small kitchen… landed on this custom sexy shelf with a juicy curved indent by @ellismurray6 made of reclaimed spotted gum from @secondeditionau , and a sassy little washing machine curtain in a technical silk sewn with love and care by @sandraspasovski 🐬 beautiful image by @traianos

outside the kitchen was a delicate touch - fresh hardwood floors and skirting with a soft bullnose edge, tidy the walls and a lick of paint all over @victorolii … lets the existing building stucco and the neighbours gorgeous curtain really shine

working within an existing plan of unusual angularity, we removed all the existing flooring and laid hardwood throughout in a continuous direction to bring together several interconnecting spaces that previously felt isolated thanks to @blackwillowgroup , we ripped out the kitchen and used an ikea carcass system with custom stained timber fronts by @so_watt_studio , lovingly put together by @callum.franks and @cuppa_joe123 with a few very refined interventions handmade by @ellismurray6 in spotted gum sourced from @secondeditionau 🔧 beautiful image by @traianos

we just wrapped up a project that has a very light touch, hidden within the Riverina flats, an art deco rabbit warren in the thick of Darlinghurst built between 1921-1924… the building itself naturally become the source of our understanding of colour and texture, beautiful image by @traianos
