In conversation with @olamirecka for our Playground Issue 3!
Ola is a designer at @lego , an artist reshaping Greek vases, a mother of two, and a fixer-of-everything â a creative who turns curiosity into her compass.
@monblum reached out and spoke to Ola about her playful approach to design, the emotional layers of making, embracing mistakes, and why swings might just be the perfect everyday object.
They also chat about sculpting with intuition, designing hospital sets that come full circle, and how play â in all its forms â connects us back to who we really are.
Read the full gorgeous interview and see Legoâs HQ bts (where the shoot for Playground took place) in Issue 3.

Scotland, upon first glance, presenting itself as a familiar version of Teletubbylandâat least in my brainâ with unexpectedly lush rolling hills and a sunny welcome.
March, 2025
September 2024: one of my biggest highlights of the past year was waking up at 2369 metres above sea level at Innsbrucker HĂźtte. This was day 2 of a 4-day hike and little did I know what was yet to come. Without much hiking experience at all, Iâve never felt so humbled by nature. Probably one of the scariest but equally rewarding experiences.
Same view, different times.
