Navigating motherhood and simultaneously a career in unwritten territory has been one of the biggest challenges of my life, and a large part of it was when I didn’t have my “tribe” around me yet. I was the first of my friends to have a baby when I had James, I was the first one when I was around my work peers, and I lived and worked abroad, away from my family.
To now, 14 years later, sit down and speak with so many incredible women about this/their journey is a very healing experience, if only I had all of you back then I wouldn’t have felt so alone… So I am VERY EXCITED for our first series of guest podcasts featuring my dearest @gucciwestman my bestie @sarahhoov and the one who has always been incredibly supportive of my career and wrote an amazing article about my early “blogger” days 10 years ago @caroline_grosso@momshotmethod is now streaming a new episode on Spotify and we can’t wait to share this with you. Ps. This is not just for moms ❤️ LY @rikkekrefting and @mathilderstone and forever grateful for the continued support of @manoloblahnik

“A podcast on motherhood — the tough stuff and how it makes us tougher. A positivity practice rooted in the fundamental belief that this is what I was born to be.” That’s it girls, that’s what Mom’s talking about sitting on the couch with auntie @rikkekrefting and @thefashionguitar et en Français to @benedicteburguet - LINK IN BIO ❤️❤️
Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum have always been a relatively smooth ride for me, but what if it hadn’t? This is something you can’t possibly imagine if you haven’t lived it. But when you do live it, so very often you won’t even notice a woman is. That she is going through one of the hardest things of her life. Because there is simply no room for her to be depressed, and the not bonding with your baby as everyone told you you would, or hating on your husband who has absolutely no clue what you go through goes unspoken… When I met @sarahhoov years ago in New York, nothing about her showed what she was going through. It was the “end tail” of a very dark period she wasn’t shy - at that point - to talk about. And she said “Im going to write a book about my postpartum experience because I think the other truths need to be spoken, too” and so she did. Fast forward, when she was in the hospital hours after having her second, our little baby girl Fred, I walked in crossing my fingers HOPING her birth experience this time around was as beautiful as I always told her it could be too. Because she deserved it. I wanted her to feel happy seeing that little girl next to her. Because she too should feel the joy over the pain she just endured birthing. And she did. She smiled while I held my breath walking into her room. She was high on newborn love. She didn’t have to relive the traumas from the first time around… in the NEW episode of @momshotmethod@mathilderstone and I talk with #SarahHoover about all and everything she hasn’t been quite about since the launch of her book. NOW on @spotify Thanks to @manoloblahnik for your continued support. First photo by @_younjungkim_ ❤️
