What does rural living in the Hunter Valley look like today? At @lovedalefarm we're shaping a residential community defined by its landscape. Homes are beautifully positioned within golden grasslands, historic red gums, and flowing creek lines, allowing daily life to unfold within a distinctly rural setting. The master plan is structured by landscape first. Over half of the site is dedicated to natural zones, parklands, and water systems, ensuring residents are consistently connected to open space, views, and seasonal change. Development follows a light-touch approach, retaining key landscape features and supporting land regeneration to provide a resilient landscape while preserving the area’s rural character. Amenity is layered and varied, supporting different ways of living across the community. In addition to shared open space and walking routes, residents have access to facilities such as the pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and a pool clubhouse, providing spaces for recreation, gathering, and everyday use within the broader landscape setting. In addition, residents benefit from a world-class golf course, tavern, practice range, and golf clubhouse. Together, these elements create a residential environment that feels grounded, spacious, and enduring. @lovedalefarm is a contemporary interpretation of rural living, shaped by the Hunter Valley landscape. 📸 Imagery by @laanstudios #LandscapeArchitecture #SustainableDesign #DesignLeadership

Guided by regenerative design and adaptive reuse, @blackrockmotorresort reimagines the potential of post-industrial land. Set in Lake Macquarie, NSW, the project charts a landscape transformation from an historic coal mine into a world class motor and leisure destination The evolution reflects a broader shift toward more sustainable futures for post-industrial land, where commercial opportunity and environmental stewardship align to create lasting value. Across the site, over 68 hectares of mature vegetation, wetlands, and native bushland will be protected. Targeted regeneration will support ecological recovery and biodiversity, celebrating the site’s natural setting and supporting its long-term environmental health. By embracing the site’s full lifecycle, we're proud to help shape this transition, from former industrial ground to a vibrant destination for the future. #LandscapeArchitecture #SustainableDesign #DesignLeadership

This International Women’s Day, we’re taking action to #BalanceTheScales Equality doesn’t happen by chance. It happens by design. At Moir Studio our values shape our work, and the way we lead. We design spaces where women and girls feel safe. We listen and design from lived experience. We advocate for fairness in decision making, because equitable teams deliver stronger work. It shapes how we collaborate, and how we support each other. Happy International Women’s Day! #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2026 #Landscapearchitecture

Using advanced technologies for data capture, analysis and communication, we provide clients with evidence-based insights into their landscapes. Our in-house toolset includes LiDAR, thermal mapping and drone technology. From this data, we generate precise site scans; mapping topography, vegetation, built form and waterways with clarity and accuracy. By translating complex spatial data into clear, actionable intelligence, we support confident, strategic decision-making at every stage of a project. 📸 These images show our team analysing a site’s creek system to guide infrastructure design, waterway rehabilitation and long-term landscape rehydration. 🌿📡💧 #landscapearchitecture #designleadership #sustainabledesign

How can a growing regional town create open space that truly brings people together? Bridges Hill Park answers that question by putting connection first. Set in the heart of Cessnock, the park supports a rapidly growing regional community through accessible, nature-led spaces for movement, play and everyday use. Bushwalking trails, a bike circuit, fitness stations and scenic lookouts invite all ages to explore and linger. Designed by Moir Studio with @cessnockcitycouncil the park integrates sustainable infrastructure, solar lighting and CPTED principles to create a safe, welcoming place from day to night. Bridges Hill Park shows how well-designed open space can strengthen community, identity and liveability in regional towns. 💚 ⚽️ 🍃 #landscapearchitecture #designleadership #sustainabledesign

We’re proud to support @pscouncil in shaping the future master plan for Medowie Town Centre. 🌿✨ “A green and welcoming heart for a growing community. A place to meet, connect and belong” Guided by this vision, we focused on creating a town centre that prioritises: 📍Protection of the Natural Environment 📍Quality of Open Space 📍Community Connection 📍 Mixed Use Development The proposed master plan ensures Medowie is a pedestrian-safe, people-focused destination where all residents can gather, engage and enjoy quality open space. Developed through close consultation with an active and passionate community, the master plan reflects local needs, current habits, and future aspirations. Rather than reinventing the town centre, it enhances what already exists, celebrating Medowie’s character and unlocking opportunities to connect the busy commercial centre with the town’s green heart. With a staged approach aligned to Council priorities and funding pathways, this proposed vision will consider community feedback and evolve to support a thriving, connected and resilient town centre. #landscapearchitecture #landscapedesi̇gn #urbandesign

Last week we were proud to attend and sponsor, the UoN Seam 2025 Master of Architecture Exhibition at @modusmerewether . The creativity, talent, and curiosity on display was inspiring. A fantastic reminder of the bold ideas and thoughtful design-thinking shaping the next generation of practitioners. We are delighted to support emerging architects as they take their first steps into the profession, and we look forward to seeing these future designers continue to challenge, question, and elevate the built environment. Many thanks to @m.arch.uon for coordinating such a brilliant event and to @linear.wave.sampler for the stellar photography. #landscapearchitecture #sustainabledesign #designleadership

How do you revitalise coastal treasures, so they endure for generations? 🌊 🌿 At Merewether Ocean Baths, we’ve revitalised one of the southern hemisphere’s largest public pools; a free, iconic asset that has shaped decades of swimming rituals and Australian outdoor culture since 1934. By preserving its character and upgrading infrastructure, we’re preparing this much-loved community space for future coastal pressures, ensuring it continues to deliver social, cultural, and economic value. 🌿 At Woy Woy Foreshore, we’re rejuvenating tidal swimming areas, walking paths, and waterfront access while protecting wetlands rich with birdlife. Working with the Darkinjung team, we’re enhancing public amenity, strengthening ecological outcomes, and creating spaces that reconnect people to the water and surrounding landscape. ✨ Two projects, one goal: revitalising deteriorating coastal assets to safeguard community, environment, and economic benefits for generations to come. 🌿 #landscapearchitecture #sustainabledesign #designleadership
