Episode 43: Biking in Palestine 🍉
Simply being Palestinian on the West Bank is increasingly wrought with risk and danger. Israel is currently waging war on the West Bank, displacing tens of thousands.
This interview is from the summer of 2024 and tells the story of how bicycling has been made impossible by the Israeli military and violent illegal settlers.
@mohammadzarour tells the story of @palestineriders – one of many biking initiatives that has become impossible to maintain.
As always with our Ramallah series, this episode was shot in @sirdabstudio on the occupied West Bank in Palestine.

Palestine’s righteous resistance, steadfast prisoners and honourable martyrs never fail to provide buoyancy when it seems you could drown in despair.
The eternal martyr, Basel al-Araj, presented these 8 points concerning a ground invasion into Gaza, before 2017. The prophetic nature of his words are a balm for the burning scenes of Gaza, which have been seared into our collective consciousness.
Basel’s 8 points are potent, powerful and hopeful because they demonstrate how well the Palestinian people and their Resistance know their enemy.
These 8 points also convey the Occupation as a “paper tiger”, a form which may appear menacing and complex but can be easily unfolded, dismantled and torn apart.
I hope these words can soothe the souls of others, today; those on the path to liberation and those who walk alongside them.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
Victory to the resistance!
Long live Gaza!
Glory to the martyrs.
