With the return of the South Florida Adventure Pass, you can start your day exploring hands-on exhibits and an IMAX film at MODS, then keep going with butterflies, wildlife, airboats and unforgettable animal encounters at the zoo, all with one pass and as many visits as you want from May 15 through September 30.

How is my baby already starting kindergarten?! 🥹
I love that this event makes the transition feel exciting instead of intimidating for little kids. They’ll get to climb on a real school bus, practice going through a cafeteria line, meet school professionals, and participate in hands-on STEM activities throughout the Museum.
Dinner is also provided, which makes this even easier for busy families.
Such a fun way to help incoming kindergarteners feel more confident before the first day of school.

Our new permanent exhibit gallery, Build a Better World: The Future Begins with You, is coming to life at MODS, and we’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at the progress.
Phase 1 will bring South Florida ecosystems to life with vibrant Atlantic and Pacific Coral Reef Aquariums, the larger-than-life Mangrove Mangal Climber and the new Everglades Theater featuring Lilly, an artificial intelligence-powered river otter. 🦦
Through hands-on exploration and play, children and families will discover how critical thinking, confidence, cooperation and caring can help shape a stronger future for people, the planet and the natural world we share.

Big things are taking shape in Deerfield Beach!
The Museum of Discovery and Science Deerfield Beach Nature Center is official, and construction is well underway at Sullivan Park. 🦈🌴
In partnership with the @cityofdeerfieldbeach Community Redevelopment Agency, this new destination will bring hands-on marine science, interactive exhibits and educational experiences for all ages while connecting our community to South Florida’s ecosystems.
Opening late fall 2026. Stay tuned as we build something amazing together!
🏗️ Hard Hats On: The Vision is Taking Shape! 🌊
The transformation at Sullivan Park is officially in full swing! We are deep in the construction phase of the new 10,000-square-foot @modsftl DEERFIELD BEACH NATURE CENTER, a "bold" collaboration between the Deerfield Beach CRA and the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS).
We are building the foundation for what will become Broward’s premier Hub for Resilience Education.
🗓️ Looking Ahead
While there is still plenty of heavy lifting to do, we are on track to bring this incredible resource to our community by Summer 2026. This center will empower visitors with practical tools for conservation and environmental stewardship for generations to come.
