“Mouse Trap”
I created this painting for “The True Butterfly Effect” a group gallery showing @slip_belltown put on by the amazing @nasecase
The show was themed around the butterfly effect from chaos theory and this made me think of the old board game Mouse Trap (there’s some roundabout reasoning that we don’t need to get into). So starting from there I created this big 2ft by 3ft canvas inspired by Mouse Trap, The Butterfly Effect, and Chaos Theory.

I got the chance to work on these really interesting murals designed by @nasecase inside @kinectshorelineapartments that played with a lot of different layers of texture and transparencies. To get all those interesting textures we used a lot of rags and sponges and stuff so my hands got healthy layers of texture on them too.
Ghost Army. Acrylic on Canvas. 2025.
This painting was created to honor The “Ghost Army” from World War 2. Officially known as the “23rd Headquarters Special Troops” The Ghost Army was a top secret US unit comprised of artists and tasked with deceiving the enemy by nonviolent means. They would create inflatable tanks to trick reconnaissance aircraft or play the sounds of an incoming marching division to trick ground forces into believing they were being attacked from a certain direction and much more. It’s always amazing to hear about a group of artists who served their country and protected their fellow soldiers all without firing a shot and that inspired me to create this painting.
