Cascade House | Courtyard by Maintain 🌿
One of our favourite elements of Cascade House is the courtyard. Reimagined as a true extension of the living space, it’s no longer just a garden but another fully functional room of the home.
We re-levelled the space and layered in soft landscaping with a sculptural focal tree, creating a calming green backdrop that’s visible throughout the interiors. Oversized floor tiles flow seamlessly from the living area to the courtyard, connecting the two zones with ease. Large double-glazed sliding doors open wide, bringing in natural light and improving energy efficiency.
The arched doorway to the courtyard beautifully mirrors the curved opening to the study, creating a subtle visual link between the two areas. This shape was carefully chosen by our design team to honour the home’s heritage character, reinforcing a cohesive connection throughout.
The result is a private, functional space that expands how the family lives and entertains — both inside and out.

Windsor House | Courtyard
What was once a disconnected outdoor area is now a seamless extension of the home. We removed the old brick pavers, levelled the ground, and created a smooth transition from the internal living spaces to the courtyard — making it feel like another room in the house.
To streamline the build, the garage roof was temporarily removed, allowing for easier excavation and demolition access, while also helping to reduce construction costs.
The result? A beautiful, functional outdoor space complete with new landscaping, feature tree, BBQ area, and plenty of room for entertaining. 🌳 💚
