Edward Street | Client Brief At the heart of the brief was a desire to reimagine the kitchen as a refined, functional centrepiece of the home. The focus was on improving flow and strengthening the connection to the surrounding garden and bushland. Hargrave Terrace | Paddington Looking back at one of our past terrace transformations in Paddington. Celebrating the home’s original character, we retained the existing fireplace and the archway to gently connect the two living spaces. Generous room proportions and an abundance of natural light were the perfect foundation for our design team to work with. Frederick House | Progress Report 📸 A morning site visit to this beautiful, grand home — and major progress is underway. On the ground floor, the new concrete slab has been laid, extending out to the verandah and framing views across the Double Bay valley with glimpses of the harbour. Upstairs, internal framing has commenced, with the original windows carefully retained and restored, ready to be reinstalled. We also took advantage of the incredible light on site — capturing portraits of our office and build team members, against the backdrop of the home’s striking sandstone walls. Lammermuir House | Project Announcement ❕ We’re excited to be starting on this incredible historic home once the sight of early Sydney orchards — a private, four-level residence tucked quietly into the heart of Paddington. A full reimagining is underway, including new gardens. New lift. Sculptural curved staircase. A self-contained lower ground apartment. The ground floor will be anchored by a relocated kitchen — refined, functional, and defined by bespoke joinery. Existing bedrooms remain, while bathrooms are reworked for clarity, flow, and longevity. Above, the attic transforms into a light-filled office with rooftop views. The direction is grounded in heritage, with an unexpected oriental influence. Layered, textured interiors. Reinstated detailing. A quiet sense of grandeur throughout. Bellevue Hill House | Master Ensuite The master suite underwent a complete transformation. The bedroom, ensuite and walk-in-robe were redesigned to feel more spacious and serene. The layout was refined by removing the original bath, relocating the toilet, and updating all finishes to align with the home’s calm and contemporary palette. Ocean Avenue | Project Announcement Our clients have now moved out, and we’re preparing to begin works on this beautiful home in Double Bay. Working entirely within the existing footprint, this renovation focuses on a thoughtful internal reconfiguration. The majority of works will take place across the bedroom levels, with the ground floor layout remaining largely untouched. The first and second floors are being carefully replanned to better support modern family living. Highlights include enclosing the master bedroom balcony to create additional space, and relocating the ensuite to incorporate a beautifully curved shower. At the centre of it all, the stunning original staircase will remain — continuing to connect each level as the heart of the home. A refined refresh of finishes will bring everything together. Gurner Terrace | Kitchen Details Designed in close collaboration with our client, this kitchen strikes a balance between functionality and personality within a narrow terrace footprint. At the centre, a custom island becomes both a practical workspace and a defining feature. Its playful, softened form—created by removing the corners—improves flow through the space while comfortably accommodating three seats. Finished in honed Calacatta Vagli natural stone with a decorative double-nose edge, the island brings a refined, tactile quality to the room. Frederick House | Progress Report 🛠️ A careful balance of protection and progress on site. The original staircase has now been secured and wrapped, safeguarded from surrounding works as it awaits restoration. With the house stripped back to its sandstone core, the team has begun framing the new structure. The alfresco verandah is taking shape — extending from the original footprint and positioned to capture the morning sun, with views across the Double Bay valley towards the harbour. The existing verandah, a delicate heritage feature full of character, is currently propped and protected as we work around it.
