After 9 incredible years, our journey comes to an end. Modest is closing its doors today due to the global economic situation. We’re deeply sorry for everyone affected by this situation.
Nevertheless, we’re so grateful for the overwhelming love and support we’ve received in recent weeks from our closest circle. Thank you to those who believed in us, gave us the opportunities that we needed to shine, and shared our values for almost a decade.
While our company may be closing, our values live on through the amazing community that believed in our vision since day one.

‘Nap Nap’ short film directed by Sam Templeton is now live on @nowness .
Nap Nap captures fragments of conversation between a young couple, one afternoon in late summer. Lying atop an old car, parked in the driveway, they muse on love, life, and the learnings we take away from our experiences – except their conversation is unscripted, and the pair on screen are a real couple.

Welcome Andrew Litten to the modest dept. roster 🫂📣🎥

Litten doesn't just direct films, he crafts immersive journeys that blur the lines between fact and fiction, reality and dreams. Growing up in Atlanta, he immersed himself in the art, music, and film scenes, collaborating with rising talents such as Big KRIT, Young Jeezy, Migos, and Bosco. Through these formative experiences, he honed his voice as a storyteller who captures raw emotions and blends them into something transcendent.

Now based in Los Angeles, Litten continues to push the boundaries of storytelling as a director across films, advertising, and music. His gift for coaxing unforgettable performances is on full display in his work, which has earned acclaim from The Atlantic, the Washington Post, Nowness, AdWeek, shots Awards, 1.4 Awards, and Vimeo Staff Picks. His pursuit has also led him to direct legacy acts such as Earth, Wind and Fire's first music video in 30 years, and a narrative short film series celebrating The Beach Boys' most iconic songs.
