Films aren’t made alone 🫂
In love,

Two years ago, I decided to take a step closer to one of my biggest dreams. Since then, I’ve traveled to three African countries on my own. Raising funds for medical care, food, education, and safe sleeping conditions for orphans, with the financial support of friends, family, and many more people. Becoming the strongest & happiest version of myself 🫂
We celebrated the love of our best friend in Sardinia & had the most beautiful holiday together. When your closest friends turn into family – your chosen family, your biggest blessing on this planet. The most special female friendships on earth. My love for you is endless 🤧
The most special, heartwrenching and wonderful past couple of weeks, spending my time at the orphanage in the village of Bujagali, Uganda - found a family far away from home.
Over two years ago, I wrote & shot this short for my bachelor’s degree. Despite any knowledge in directing, I decided to give it a try, because no medium resonated with me as strongly in storytelling, as close to human, and as emotionally impactful as film.
My aim: to film with and for the people I love and appreciate. My family and friends.
Seeing such beautiful films from all these talented people around me, I didn’t feel ready to share this film yet - but after a while I realised that the importance of the story outweighs any doubts.
So, two years later, I’m ready to tell. Forever grateful to everyone who supported, believed in me and invested their time 🫂 – you are my heroes.
Catharsis‘ is a short film portraying a black child’s journey navigating the complexities of skin color and masculinity in society. Through voice-over narration the film follows his path from birth to fatherhood, embodying the generational struggle against stereotypes. The film showcases the beauty of black males, their loving, caring, and nurturing sides as loving fathers, devoted brothers, and caring partners.
