Quite literally swept off my feet by all the incredible artists last night. Itās hard to celebrate in times like these and feels weird to even express joy but mostly I feel gratitude and LOVE. What a strong, safe, and empowering gathering showcasing not just student films but authentic stories from queers and immigrants, children of immigrants and so on. Iām so humbled to be a part in telling these narratives and so lucky to create the relationships I have. Big congratulations to my friends winning the directors spotlight awards. To everyone else stay strong and donāt dull. Smile when you can. Keep creating and using your voice. A million thanks.
Itās my favorite day of the year! The day we were all gifted with my sweet Cecelia Autumn. To know you is to know endless kindness, grace, and beauty. Itās easy to get caught up in day to day stresses but being loved by you grounds me in a way that shakes me to my core. Reminding me that nothing truly matters aside from our life together.
