Do you think Naomi Campbell is paying a fee to walk in someone’s show? No!!! Because modeling is a job just like being a photographer, make up artist, stage hand or sound person. You should be getting paid if not bare minimum just volunteering your time. People exploit models because they know people want to become a model. But the reality is that they need you to walk in their clothes and to take pictures in their clothes. Which means just like with any other jobs they need to pay you for your time your, effort and your energy. And any show worth walking in won’t need your money. They will have a budget or sponsorships to pay for their own show. They won’t need you to sell tickets to your family members, but they will have media, magazines, influencers, celebrities coming to their show to promote their brand. Because that’s how they make their money, not by using models to sell tickets or get a fee from them.
