There are people I admire, the life of the room people. They walk in and the atmosphere instantly lights up. They speak through presence before they open their mouths.
Today’s world doesn’t always give you that opportunity first. Today, the first perception of you is digital. I’ll say we had better physical communicators in my father’s time. They were so articulate! And full of confidence.
Social media has given us a way to be this without working on physical energy. But one thing I’ve learned and still learning is, the aura you have in person sifts through digitally.
People with “owner energy” don’t just market themselves well, they embody their brand. Their confidence, clarity, and self-awareness make their businesses easier to trust, easier to follow, and easier to believe in.
And in today’s world, that might be one of the most valuable business assets anyone can develop. Presence is not magic. It’s a skill. And like every skill, it can be learned.
A strong brand is not a logo, a color palette, or even a campaign.
We have been seeing this line going around and we thought, why not break it down simply. Here are 4 layers that create a strong brand
- Position
- Narrative
- Identity (This, we find a lot struggle with)
- Visibility
If you find that any of these layers are missing in your brand, let’s talk. #callonMODE
Most brands think they need more visibility. But what they really need is better positioning.
For Koshar, we didn’t push products. We aligned with a moment:
“Beat the Heat this Ramadan.”
And the result:
95,900 reach
812 engagements
93 website clicks
Real inquiries
That’s what happens when your brand meets your customer where they already are. What moment does your brand belong in right now?

As we step into the second quarter, one thing is clear—
branding is no longer optional.
Branding used to be a corporate discipline.
Today, it’s a responsibility every organization and professional must understand.
The question is no longer:
“Should I build a brand?”
The real question is:
“What position do I occupy?”
That’s the conversation we’re stepping into this quarter.
We’re pleased to begin working with Thrive Not Survive podcast @tnswitheo
Our collaboration will focus on strengthening the brand’s positioning, communication strategy, and visibility as it continues to grow.
To the work ahead…
#callonMODE
There is pressure online to constantly produce.
To post.
To react.
To keep up with the pace of the algorithm.
But strategy does not work like that. The most important work often happens away from the feed — in conversations, in research, in thinking.
So when MODE speaks here, it will be intentional.
Thoughts on branding.
Campaigns.
Corporate communication.
And how individuals and organizations are received in the world.
Good to be back in the conversation.
We are MODE #callonMODE
Being part of a Creative Media Intelligence Agency means being an all-round creative.
At MODE, even when team members are unexpectedly absent, the show goes on because there’s always someone ready and fit to step in.
We styled, photographed, and produced all the media and videos for Femi Leye and the show, and we’re now turning the experience into a movie because it deserves to be televised.
#staytuned
Styling Femi Leye was seamless, because we worked with the best fashion brand @eu1987studios (see last slide). One conversation birthed the amazing looks everyone is still raving about!
We don’t work as individuals, we operate as a whole body of creativity. This is your sign to #CallOnMODE
This project reflects what MODE stands for:
Strategic creativity that amplifies culture.
We are proud to have collaborated with Femi Leye and The Jazz Republic, and we look forward to bringing more artistic experiences to life across Africa and beyond.
