✨ One year ago today, I stepped back into fashion in a new way. Not just as a model… but as a leader, coordinator, visionary, and creative force behind the scenes. On May 15, 2025, my mentor Kevin Ross entrusted me with the title of Model Coordinator for MODE Production…and that moment changed the trajectory of my life. Since then, I’ve helped produce fashion shows, coordinated talent, built creative experiences, joined the Board of Directors for FGI Chicago, expanded my network, reconnected with my own presence, and most importantly… found my voice again. There were moments of grief, uncertainty, growth, rebuilding, and transformation. But through it all, fashion welcomed me back with open arms. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who believed in me, collaborated with me, supported MODE, trusted my vision, shared opportunities, spoke my name in rooms, and encouraged me to keep going. Every event, fitting, production day, panel, conversation, repost, and connection mattered. And to Kevin Ross… thank you for seeing something in me before I fully saw it in myself. A powerful message from Dr. Afrika Porter (@sistaafrika ) during Kevin Ross’s celebration of life. “This is what family looks like. This is what community looks like. This is what humanity looks like.” She reminded us that family isn’t always DNA — it’s the people who show up.
