*English bellow* Qui est derrière Moca Tableware? Nous sommes @carlajoachim et @jordan_morineau , deux designers français installés aux Pays-Bas travaillant sous le nom @Studio_joachimmorineau . Nous avons commencé à travailler ensemble pendant nos études à l’ENSAAMA à Paris. Ensuite, nous avons intégré la Design Academy Eindhoven. Notre projet de fin d’études commun, Moca, a marqué le début de notre studio. Au fil des années, le studio s’est diversifié en créant des collections d’objets en séries limités et en organisant des expositions, tout en continuant de se concentrer sur les projets céramiques. En 2024, nous avons décidé de créer une marque exclusivement dédiée à notre production céramique: Moca Tableware. We are @carlajoachim and @jordan_morineau , two French designers based in The Netherlands working under the name @studiojoachimmorineau . We first worked together during our studies in Paris at ENSAAMA. We moved to the Design Academy Eindhoven and graduated from Man and Activity in 2018. Our common graduation project, Moca was the starting point of our company @studio_joachimmorineau . Over the years, the studio expanded into making various household items and holding exhibitions, while continuously working on ceramic projects. A few days ago, Jordan had fun with one of our porcelain vases from the collection « 10000 Drops », it was a small test and it just beautifully came out of the kiln! 👨‍🎨🍽️ He took time to draw the kitchen tools and the food laying around his house with a mix of cobalt & glaze. Dripping Day 32!💧 Carla has been working a lot lately on porcelain production, especially on our white plates and blue patterns. As you know, we drip the glaze onto bisque-fired plates, then add a food-safe glaze on top. Each piece is unique, the pattern being made with our custom process and ceramic dripping machine! Today marks 8 years of our company @studio_joachimmorineau 🎉🎂 It began with a strange project called “Moca”, while we were still students! We were just playing around with techniques and different materials, and found our dripping method! 💧 Soon after, we graduated from @designacademyeindhoven with this project and continued developing many different works under our studio name in Eindhoven Step by step, we tried to improve our technique, design new collections, grow our ceramic atelier, and so much more. And here we are now, between Nantes and Eindhoven, producing porcelain in both places and shipping to clients all across Europe! Did you know that these strange grey “welding” spots are actually drops of glaze? Once fired in our ceramic kiln, they change into a deep cobalt blue. Dripping day 30! 💧 Carla has been experimenting with a new series of dripping vases, playing with glazes, color gradients, and heavily layered patterns. We’re still not quite sure what to think about the results and color, but we are learning from it and it’s opening up some new ideas! The machine we use is homemade and lets us drip glaze or porcelain directly onto the pieces. Sometimes the movement is fully controlled with Arduino, while other times we take a more hands-on approach, using buttons to adjust speed and motion in real time. Hope you like the process!
