A sci-fi short conceptually so interesting! Visually distinctive with the sharp contrasts and distortion, as well as immersive editing to reflect the mental state of Captain Hughes. LA, circa 2016: After I came off stage at a @spacehurricaneband show @theredwoodbar a lady approached me full of compliments about our performance. She was Inger Lorre and she said she always liked to give credit where it was due. I hadn't heard of the 90's band she fronted - The Nymphs - but I soon became a fan and fell in love with their tune 'Imitating Angels'. It was great to go see a couple of her acoustic solo shows and hang a little bit over the following months. I was sad to learn of Inger's recent passing. There's a lot of loneliness in LA... In Inger's stunningly soulful 'More Real' from her 2023 album Gloryland she sings 'Are you lonely? Does it hurt to feel? Don't you want something more real? - and, man, does her sound come from the heart. RIP beautiful angel Inger. You fought loneliness hard and made the world a better place x
