My Estrella Sweater test knit for @knitdiet has been going really well! Love this design so much. Iām knitting a size medium with Berroco Ultra Alpaca. (And I actually currently blocking but I wanted to share these progress pics before the full reveal!)
My most worn sweater is my Norma by @myfavouritethings.knitwear š¤š So much so that I have plans to make another! I also got some good wear out of the Berlin Scarf by @paulastrickt in the depths of this very cold winter. Still waiting for it to actually warm up in New England!
I keep forgetting to post my makes on the grid and not just stories! So my #memademay goal is to simply catch up and post more regularly.
This is the Sardine Pillow by @woollypetals and I stuffed it with scrap fabric! It definitely makes a more dense, heavy fish, but I love it as a scrap busting project. Will definitely make more! I also used my chainstitch machine to embroider the eyes on.
Iāve been wearing this sweater nonstop ever since it came off the needles! This is the Lakes Vneck Sweater by @ozetta knit with Knitting For Olive Heavy Merino in the color Pomegranate. I love the saddle shoulder construction! I need more saddle shoulders in my life!
Also diners are the best.
I finally made the #sailorslippers ! I think this is a great project for scrap wool yarn. I ended up using multiple different yarn weights either held single, double, or even triple to use up yarn from my stash. It does need to be wool (and not superwash!) in order to felt correctly. And itās certainly a quick knit with the large needle size!
I think Iāve found the perfect long term scrap busting project! This is the Quilt Block Scarf by @starcrossed.knits and I canāt wait to see it get more colorful and grow over the next year. Not rushing to finish this, going to take my time and enjoy it.
These might be the best cookies Iāve ever made?? I did his and hers aka oatmeal raisin and oatmeal dark chocolate chunk, respectively.
I finally cast on the Frankie Sweater by @petiteknit and I forgot him much I enjoy raglans! My gauge was .25 inches small, so I am knitting a size L instead of M to accommodate for my gauge. The yarn is superwash so I have to keep in mind that it will grow, but I did block my swatch and it was still small so hopefully that all checks out.
Both yarns are from Jagger Spun, a discontinued brand.
