I’m new to the curly hair routine, but here’s what I’ve learned so far:
1) The haircut makes all the difference. Since my hair has an uneven texture: the top is smoother and slightly wavy, while the lower layers are more porous and curly - a haircut with a shorter crown works really well for me. Plus, my hair is quite heavy, and curls need space to open up nicely, so the more layers, the better. I go to @fermin_peluqueros in 📍Oviedo for a chic haircut 💇🏼♀️
2) The better moisturized your hair is, the longer your curls will last. I’ll post a video soon showing how I style my hair 👌🏻
3) The myth that washing your hair less often helps it stay cleaner for longer isn’t a myth (at least for me). I wash my hair every 4-6 days, depending on how much I sweat during workouts. I used to wash my hair every day because by day two it already looked greasy. Then I gradually started spacing out my washes. It wasn’t easy, but I tried all kinds of tricks: braids and everything else, just to look presentable with greasy hair 😬
4) The product I use to refresh my hair: Cantu Curl Revitalizer

My Estrella Sweater is fresh off the needles! ✨
I tested size M along with the other testers. I decided not to knit the stars because I felt the yarn already had an interesting texture on its own. I also changed the neckline and hem. I was in a real hurry to finish it before my trip to Madrid, since there’s less and less time before the pattern is released, and I have more and more to do because life happened 😅

A little about the coming pattern #knitdiet_estrella
This is a raglan sweater knitted top down. The construction includes short rows for neckline shaping. The pattern has detailed instructions with knitting charts and explanatory videos. It also explains in detail how to knit short rows (this isn’t the easiest technique if you’re a beginner, but I hope that with detailed instructions for each size + a video tutorial, it won’t be a problem for you).
Size grid: from 86 to 161 cm (33.8-63.4 inch) - sweater circumference.
The pattern also includes a variety of neckline and hem designs (with or without slits) as well as an option for a T-shirt.
I did my best to make this pattern simple enough for even a beginner to follow, I hope you like it 🫶
And I’d also like to point out that the testers have done a tremendous job improving the pattern and fixing errors and inaccuracies, I can’t wait to show you their sweaters 😍
