One of my final pieces of the @the_tortus_school workshop at @giulietta.studio and to say Iām proud of the progress would be an understatement. So much more to learn but feeling fulfilled beyond measure.
Canāt wait to see the fired pieces up next!

Itās pretty incredible to have a constant smile, a huge heart, and creative mind around us at all times. We love you sweet boy.
And we celebrate @chelseabauch even more than we do every other day.
Although my pottery practice has ebbed and flowed over the years, @tortus has been a consistent source of inspiration.
Before I ever sat at a wheel, I followed Ericās work online. His videos were a unique approach, often focusing on a single, masterfully articulated pull for a full 15-second clipāa stark contrast to the hyper-lapsed videos of other potters who showed an entire piece being made during that timeframe. Ericās emphasis on craft rather than outcome was different, and his forms were unlike anything I had seen.
To see Eric work is to witness true mastery. His understanding of clay can be broken down to a particle level, shapeshifting the clay with a fluidity unlike anyone Iāve ever seen. As a teacher, Eric is patient, practical, and persistent. And although I have much more to practice, my understanding of the process has expanded beyond measure over the last week thanks to learning at his studio in Copenhagenāan experience Iāll never forget, shared with some incredible potters and friends both new and old.
I went in with expectations of forms I wanted to make and a scale that immediately evokes a visceral response. What I left with is even better: a deeper joy for the craft itself.
Thanks for being such an incredible teacher and friend, Eric.
